Cris organized private tour guides, Fabiana and Mariella, for my family of 4 adults at the Colosseum and Vatican and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Cris was responsive in the planning and told me exactly what tickets to purchase for our tours with step by step instructions. Fabiana and particularly Mariella were knowledgeable, gracious and provided incredible facts and tidbits that made our visits to these iconic places come to life. With 3 young adults, Mariella could read their energy and interest level to customize our tour to maximize their engagement. Highly recommend using Cris to book your tours and ask for Mariella!

For our final night in Rome, we wanted a private walking tour to experience the best of Rome including the food. Cristina set us up with Mauro Scarpati for a 3-hour tour of the city, not the big-name spots like the Pantheon, Colosseum (as we had already seen them), but the lesser-known streets and highlights.

Mauro over delivered!! As a historian, he was able to walk us around and tell us the stories behind the stories. We even skipped some of the food stops because he had us so engrossed in his stories about what life was like and the background of the buildings we saw during our first few days in Rome.

Thank you for making our final night in Rome very special!! We highlight recommend Cristina and Mauro if you are looking for a special event.

Thank you so much for arranging an amazing day at Pompeii and Sorrento! Maurizio was kind, polite and just wonderful!his vehicle was clean and comfortable! We stopped at a service station twice to use the toilet. We were amazed how nice the service station was! It looked like a small grocery store. We bought souvenirs there!

Brunella was AMAZING! So personable and knowledgeable. She was lovely. We wish her the best for her wedding! We would love to tour with her again when visit Naples.
We will start saving money for our next visit!

What? Why are there not more reviews here? We chose CrisRomanGuide after reading reviews from Rick Steves. Margherita was simply the best tour guide ever. She showed this very jet-lagged couple the Vatican and then the Colosseum-both tours were spectacular. She also helped to navigate the mass crowds, to allow us to view the catacombs in both locations, which we surely wouldn't been able to have scheduled on our own. There is no way we would have been able to obtain this information and context if we had viewed these sights on our own. We would definitely recommend using CrisRomanGuide (and Margherita) if you are in Rome.

Cristina was such a treasure! Her communication was timely and very clear. Buying tickets online for the Colosseum was problematic, but that is not her fault. Our guide for the Forum, Palatine, and Colosseum couldn't have been any better! Her archaeological expertise and knowledge were interesting, educational - fantastic, really. Our tour of the Vatican was also extremely informative and fascinating! Unfortunately, St. Peter's Basilica was closed which surprised both our tour guide and ourselves. As a result, we had to go back to visit it but did not realize that access to the crypt closed at 6PM, unfortunately. (Our guide suggested 6PM, as a way to avoid crowds.) All in all, Cristina's tour guides have an in depth knowledge and interest in the sites of Rome. Their expertise and enthusiasm make them fabulous guides! I would definitely work with Cristina on any return trip to Rome. She is professional, trustworthy, and diligent.

Loved our time with Cris -- highly recommended! She was so nice, professional, personable, and knowledgeable. We did the colosseum tour with the underground extra as well as the roman forum and Palentine hill. Cristina was able to score tickets for the underground limited access colosseum tour (I tried and failed). She knew all the security folks and it was a breeze to get to the limited access location. She really tailored her information based on our interest and based on the questions we would ask. She was understanding and really passionate about her city. It was completely worth it for us to have her as our guide and she was a very memorable part of our trip.

We hired Cristina to plan and arrange our tour of Rome and had Gianluigi (Gigi) for our guide. Both were fantastic! Cristina was super helpful getting everything arranged and made it very simple and organized! She really went above and beyond. And Gigi was a delight on the tour! He was super knowledgeable and informative while still keeping things fun and interesting! We had so much fun with him! I can’t recommend them enough!

Our trip with Simona of CrisRomanDayGuide was exquisite! Simona is an archeologist and gave us so much history and information as we crammed Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Vatican City, the Colosseum/Palatine Hill/Forum & several more places into 1 day! I had emailed Cris after seeing her name in Rick Steves book entitled "Rome". She was already booked and we were able to be blessed with Simona, her associate. In all the emails, she got us a driver to get us from our ship to our Airbnb to drop off our luggage in Rome, then to Simona to tour Rome. It worked out beautifully! We want to come back and use them again!!
