They used the motor the whole time, the sails were basically decoration.
It felt like we just went in circles. We didn't see any new sights/views or go far away from where we started. No information was given about what we were seeing.
The captain was super friendly at first, but when we tried to ask questions, he seemed annoyed. Then, he was friendly again at the end when making jokes to explicitly ask for tips, which we found very uncouth.
You can't bring any drinks, not even water, as they want to sell you drinks.
The seats are not cushioned and were uncomfortable.
It was nice to be on a boat, but for $40 a ticket, it did not seem worth it.

Absolutely loved our experience with the crew of Spirit of Buffalo! They made the trip fun and interactive, allowing some of the guests to help hoist the sails. They were on top of checking on everyone and getting drinks for us. The sail was a perfect amount of time. Would definitely recommend this to anyone of any age. We’ll definitely be going for the sunset sail in the future!

Lovely boat and friendly professional staff and crew! Took the evening 2 hour tour for my sister’s birthday. Full bar with wonderful drink options and a great price! Just keep in mind they say boarding is 5:30 for the 6:00 PM sail, and they will leave without you so don’t be late! I appreciate they will call and confirm with those who are not there 15 minutes prior. Would definitely recommend!

Decently priced cocktails, $9 Cranberry and vodkas.
Lovely view and cruise between shore and the breakwall.
Nice tall ship with bench style seating.
Friendly captain.
Chill summer music.
Slight breeze, but no shade anywhere so wear sunscreen and dress light.

We had a great time with the boat to ourselves! The crew was wonderful and we got to raise the sails and steer the boat. There's a nice little bar downstairs and had great views!

We had an awesome trip on the Spirit of Buffalo! I was so impressed with the crew - tight directions from captain to crew, hardworking, and very kind. They were all so knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Fun trip!

Wonderful afternoon in Buffalo spent on the waterfront in this magnificent craft, with this magnificent crew.

From the moment we arrived we were treated with kindness and smiles even the captain greeted us and made us feel at home offering his own personal tour of the history of Buffalo as we exited the harbor.

The crew skillfully manage the ship to make us feelSafe and comfortable while managing to point out some of the most beautiful sites on the Buffalo waterfront.

I highly recommend taking this ride on a warm summer day
